While Eric has battled a lot of his health issues his entire life, it wasn't until 2018 that they caught up with him, still very unexpectedly, and rendered him paraplegic. For 40+ years he has always pushed through, and for over 30 of those years managed to accomplish some incredible things in elite series such as INDYCAR, USAC, the WoO and more. All fueled by his passion for racing.
Upon fully processing the reality of paralysis, Eric knew that even though life was certainly altered, it definitely wasn't finished. Big things can still be accomplished with the right minds and resources available for those who need them. Giving back was always in his plans. Paralysis only altered how it was going to be done. As he slowly transitions his way out of the drivers’ seat, Eric revels in the process of coaching and mentoring young and/or disabled drivers and engineers.

Though attending the NASCAR race at the Brickyard a few times as a child, Kayli's interest was more in spending that time with family. Her foray into the active side of motorsports began alongside her relationship with Eric. She has, truly, become a student of the racing world. With her passion for, and knowledge of, it growing stronger everyday. Kayli's "behind the scenes" business savvy helps guide our team in almost everything off track, and her desire to succeed for the benefit(s) of others is a driving force in all of our accomplishments.
“Adrenaline takes over; you don’t feel the pain. It goes away, and it’s time to go.” – Rick Mears
STC stands for Stay The Course. No matter how difficult, do not ever give up on your journey... endure and overcome. You can still reach your destination, even if it's not how you originally imagined. By providing karts that are professionally, safely modified for those with physical disabilities, we provide opportunities for individuals who otherwise would never have them. Giving a child the opportunity, support and hope for an accomplished life in racing, despite their physical stature, is what we're all about.
Eric’s years of acquiring racing knowledge, experience and contacts provide the foundation for WHAT we do. Maintaining a grassroots level, family oriented, team atmosphere provides the foundation for HOW we do it.
